The design

It was important for us that any design on the clothing should be the artwork of a current student. We therefore launched a competition for students to create a design in response to 'student life at NUA'. Students voted on the submissions, and the two favourite designs are featured on the clothing!

Using a clothing company that is as ethical and sustainable as possible

Using a company to produce and print the clothing that is conscious of the environment and their environmental impact, as well as one that used sustainable and ethical materials, processes and labour was incredibly important.

 

We chose the company used for reasons that included: 

• their commitment to not using plastic packaging

• none of their products are tested on animals and the company will not trade with companies whose products are 

• their ethical policy to pay all labourers the fair living wage

• use of Fairtrade cotton
