If you're finding university life a bit overwhelming—whether it’s keeping up with deadlines, navigating conversations with course leaders, or understanding wider university policies—we’re here to support you. At the Norwich Arts SU Advice Service, we offer a safe, welcoming space where you can talk through any academic concerns. Our team provides clear, compassionate advice tailored to your situation, and we can help you understand university processes or even advocate for you when needed. Everything we discuss is confidential, and we’re completely independent from the university, so you can trust that we’re here just for you.

Getting in Touch

There are a few ways to get in touch with us, and we're committed to making our service as accessible as possible. You can email us, you can complete our online advice form to request a member of our team reach out to you, or you can pop in to talk to us anytime in the SU Lounge. We will always get back to you well within 48 hours (within term times).

The Advice Service is operated from Mon-Fri 9am-5pm in term times.

Appeals and Complaints

​

We offer person-centred support for students considering an appeal against University decisions. Our team can guide you through the entire process, explaining what steps to take and what evidence you’ll need to gather. We’re here to help you present your case clearly and confidently, and can advocate on your behalf to ensure the best possible outcome. Throughout the process, we’ll also be mindful of your wellbeing, offering support every step of the way. You don’t have to go through this alone—we’re here to make sure your voice is heard and your rights are respected.​

If you are in crisis and need immediate advice and support there are several other brilliant services you can use alongside, or alternatively to us.​

The Student Support team at the university have a team of well-trained and compassionate advisers who can provide support to those facing mental, financial, or wellbeing difficulties. You can contact them through: our.norwichuni.ac.uk. There are several external organisations that can help students in crisis. These include:
